I tested 2 free programs: AutoDWG2PDF & Any DWG to PDF: both have a limitation to 3 files at a time and 20 or 30 uses in total.
I tried www.zamzar.com which has some problems with orientation and layers (but it has the merit of working without limit and I'm not very inclined to leave all the plans who knows where on the internet).
And I asked the Axemble hotline if it was possible with BatchConverter, the answer is not directly: the request was made to the developers.
This is possible by converting a DWG to SolidWorks format and then the SolidWorks format to PDF. Not very practical, but I could be satisfied with that.
Wouldn't anyone have a simple, limitless and functional method?
Not possible with PDFcreator: I want to do it in bulk (several files) but PDFcreator doesn't recognize DWGs! So it's possible with DraftSight, but one by one. And the DraftSight scripts, I tried but it wasn't convincing!
Yes, software like Any DWG to PDF or Auto DWG to PDF are much cheaper: between €80 and €180.
But am I too naïve to believe that there is a free solution? It looks like it does!
Hello, a DWG to PDF conversion in bulk with Draftsight is only feasible if you have the paid version: Using Scripts, it's very simple. (something I've already practiced well).
Be careful, Drafsight is paid and only on Windows.
So for the moment no free mass possibility for the conversion of DWG to PDF.
To sum up:
AutoDWG2PDF & Any DWG to PDF: Both have a limitation for the free version to 3 files at a time and 20 or 30 uses in total. The paid version costs between $100 and $200.
www.zamzar.com that has some problems with orientation and layers but works without limit
Using Axemble 's BatchConverter by converting a DWG to SolidWorks format and then the SolidWorks format to PDF
Possible with Acrobat X pro but very expensive.
Possible with the software is "Tell". For more information contact Axemble.
Possible with Draftsight but only with the paid version: Using Scripts, it's very simple.
Possible with dwg2pdfmx.exe, the utility vehicle offered by Frédéric, but with a watermark.
I have a batch of dwg files that I would like to convert to pdf (directly in bulk), however I would like to know if any of you have a macro that I can run on Drafsight (I have the paid version) so that I can do this work? Thanks in advance! :)
