Convert a SW file to a 3D layout file

Hello

I work in the creation of office furniture. I sometimes have requests from my clients for layout files, most of the time in DWG 3D.

Today I can't find a solution to bridge the gap between the SW design software and the export to the layout software. Having a large range of desktops, how could I manage to create my libraries with this type of files?

Thank you in advance for your answers ;-)

Apart from using a MyCadTools utility or SW's task scheduler (if you have a Premium version), to do a general export, I don't see any other solution.

What do you mean by "making the bridge"?

Hello

Often DWG/DXF 3D are in fact .sat, see this tutorial.

Agree with @stefbeno for myCADtools, BatchConverter should do the trick.

Thank you for your answer.

I would like to release a volume with only the outer shapes and textures in order to have a light file and so that users don't see the detail of the design

Hello

Make a speedpack configuration as explained by our friend OBI WAN, then generate your .sat file from this configuration.

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/solidworks/garder-sa-propriété-intellectuel-avec-un-speepack

or do it in 2 steps:
- export as an "outer faces only" part
- convert that coin to sat or whatever you want
