The only 3D software that can do this is Fusion 360 from the same editor as 3dsmax in . OBJ mainly.
Otherwise for the dwg 3d format, unless I'm mistaken , you can only open them in SW and not save them.
As for your attachment, all the parts that make up your assembly are missing. (classic move you have to make a take-away composition or a pack & go depending on your version of SW)
Which makes me think in the context of the 3dmax conversion, to save the assembly into a part and then convert it into a compatible format. I think when I was doing mumuse with 3dmax that I was going through STL but you have to like triangles on the faces.
