Dimensioning in cropped view

Hi all

I want to make a diameter dimension on a cropped view in solidworks 2016. I only want to have half a rating line so as not to take up unnecessary space on my plan. I can't do it, can you help me please?

Hello
Instead of defaulting to click Smart Dimension, expand the list and choose

then on the visible edge.

Thank you for the feedback but I don't have this option on my solidworks 2016, is there an option to check?

I just found it, you have to do a normal smart dimension and then you have to right-click, "hide the dimension line", and "hide the reminder line".

Thank you all for your help!

May the force be with you.

Hello @testTole ,

The "symmetrical linear diameter dimension" option is only available since the 2022 version of SW. (if I'm not mistaken)
