Thread Dimensioning in MEP: Difference in Behavior

Hi everyone

Some of my colleagues behave differently when quotating a thread...
-SW2022 SP5-

Behavior 1 :
Selecting the thread representation with the Smart Dimensioning tool generates a dimension on the outside of the model with the thread info:
image
→ Good!

Behavior 2 :
Selecting the thread representation with the Smart Dimensioning tool generates a dimension on the thread representation with the thread info:
image
→ NOT GOOD!

Threads are taboo, we'll all get rid of them!

If I save the drawing with the dimension according to behavior 1, and one of the colleagues opens it, the representation changes with the reconstruction of the plane.

I looked in document/system settings if an option can drive this behavior, either there is no one, or I missed it!

Have any of you ever encountered this problem?
Better yet, was any of you able to solve this problem?

Hello Silver_Surfer,
It never happened to me " SW2022SP4 ".
Just to find out if all DAO posts have the same settings?
That is to say the same background plan.

Otherwise I have no other solution.
Good luck, keep us informed, maybe he will have someone who has the solution.

Hello @A_R ,

Verified and identical parameters.
The basemaps are on a shared location.

I identified a potential difference (I am currently checking all the stations): Hotfix 1250806 intended to correct the placement of dimensions in an inclined view...

Not better for me, I have the right behavior.
Ribs fixed on the outside and impossible to find how to hang it on the thread.

I have the impression that he confuses tapping vs threading... To be seen.

Hello again Silver_Surfer,
Here are our settings for thread=>
2025-01-30_132601
And my tests in " thread" dimensioning=>
2025-01-30_134745
2025-01-30_134706
For the M20x1.5, I added it by hand directly in the 3D...
That's it, nothing else.

To try (at this point...)
Since Solidworks 2022 our nice programmers at Solidworks have added features on thread dimensions, according to the description this only has an influence on the depth ... but knowing Dassault...):
See if the two stations have the same setting for:
Upgrade thread representation features.
https://help.solidworks.com/2022/french/Solidworks/sldworks/HIDD_DVE_CTHREAD.htm?rid=137900
Also to see (but I doubt it) if the two PCs point to the same Standard file for Drawings... and possibly check the same for the CalloutFormat file.

Note: I just realized that it is possible to add a representation of fillets (insertion/annotation) directly in a PEM... the information goes back into the 3D but I find it let's say ... a bit cavalier (I never really understood this expression... {probably a connection with the bullies} ...)
