Threading Rating

Hello

For a threading drawing

Is there a tool equivalent to SYMBOL FOR DRILLING for threading in order not to have to replace the Ø by M and have the quality of the thread by default?

Hello

Is it for a representation on a plane?

Hello

You can make it from the drawing : right-click on the thread display == > select " Insert symbol "  ==> it will display the parameters you have in terms of the thread settings in your Thread Representation configuration.

Thanks to AC Cobra. This is the answer I was waiting for but where is the file that defines the associated text setting:

I have "M10 Mechanical threads" instead of "M10 g6" for example

Question following the previous message:  Under SW2015 is it possible to bring back the M10 (designed in 3D) and not Ø10 with an "insertion" "object of the model" which should be possible  and faster than "Insert a symbol" at each thread.

How do you create your M10 g6 net??? Via which function???

In the 3D click on the Insertion Annotation Thread Representation stop.

Ok, so if it's through this you manage to get M10 g6  then it should be displayed. On the other hand, for automation via the object of the model, it's not possible as it's just a thread representation...   I've already tried everything but this is the only way I've found to get there.

What I mean is that for the trauding there is a conf file (I don't know where?) that allows you to modify the associated text See below

There is probably a file that modifies the text 'Mechanical threading' that doesn't mean anything

The M of M10 is called by the function!

If we use in the 3D "drilling assistant"

We must use in MEPs "symbol for drilling"

If we use standard dimensioning, it is half like making manual text...

(and that's something I ban as much as possible...)

But be careful, before making any changes, you have to make a backup of the original file!!

then put the "modified file" in the network, and make all the stations point at it!!

From experience, I preferred not to touch this file (because there is also a calloutformat2 from memory...), and to modify the "symbol for drilling" dimension as needed by removing the unwanted "words (code)", when you select the dimension with the panel on the left.

You can also go through "favorites", if it's something repetitive.

May the dark side be with you.

And be careful, these callour format files are very sensitive for nothing, it bugs even the people at Axemble advise against modifying them and moreover with each new version you will have to redo the manipulation.

+1000 for sbadenis, it is strongly advised not to touch these files because if it bugs it's bad...

Yes, just like every modification/customization of the toolbox base, you have to be careful when updating!

I was not aware that this file was a source of bugs,

In any case, when I tried to customize it, I quickly understood that his behavior was "more complicated than expected", and so I gave up...
