Cotation solidworks

Hi all

I would have liked to know if it was possible to modify the dimensions that are applied manually (the ote is gray and does not come out well in print) and if so how?

D'avane thank you

For the line thickness it should be in the line thickness options tools, for the font, just click on the dimension and in the right part that appears, it's on the 2nd tab.

It is also possible to choose to print in black and white rather than grayscale in the printer options.

For more information on thickness:

Custom line thickness for print settings

You can now set the line weight used in print settings from the drawing document properties for templates and drawing documents.

To set the thickness of lines printed from drawings:

  1. Click Options   (Standard toolbar).
  2. Select Line Weight on the Document Properties tab.
  3. Set the line thickness for printing for any thickness setting displayed.

Hello

If you are in the "Sketch" mode, the color of the dimensions is necessarily black since generally they are called "Piloting" dimensions. If you are dimensioning entities outside of this mode, these are called "Controlled" dimensions. For these 2 types of dimensions, a color is associated and set in the SolidWorks General Options. So just set these 2 colors to "Black" and you're done!

Kind regards

For dimensions in drawing: Put the same color in the options

  • Color/Dimensions, Imported (Pilot)
  • Non-Imported Cortes (Piloted)

A+
