I'd like to know how you go about dimensioning an elliptical fillet in a drawing.

Hello

How did you draw the elliptical fillet?
With the fillet function or with a sketch and material removal, or by making a fillet and then another fillet with another radius using an edge from the first fillet?

By directly using the leave function and changing the leave settings.

I don't know of any particular symbology for this kind of shape.
A simple note is enough since you indicate the 2 semi-axes.
Then, it is the CN that will do the job by relying on the step.

Curious question: is this shape really functional? It seems a bit expensive to me for maybe not much.

Ok thanks for the info. Plasma does the rest, it's true.

The shape allows you to fit the curve of an angled tube. The part created with the fillet serves as a closure for the tube.
