Drawing dimensions that do not follow the 3D update

Hi all

New on this forum and new solidworks user (15 years of catia V5) I have a problem.

Since the migration from 2015 to 2018 I have my drawing dimensions that do not follow the 3D (disconnections). This despite the fact that the modification made to the assembly is minimal (a 10mm displacement of several elements).

Does any of you have an idea?

Thanks in advance

Hello, you probably have an interference, hence the yellow and red colors. check the constraints that have put themselves in place as they go along, there is surely one to remove

Kind regards

Thank you for your intervention,

so, no interference, my constraints are perfect, the red colors are normal, I was the one who put these elements in red via the font (they are sketch elements, I'm in the process of AVP).

There are still the yellow sides which lose the links with the 3D for a yes or a no.

Have you fixed your cut line in relation to an edge of the part, because it may be that when you modify the part, the cut line moves and suddenly it loses its references! Right-click on the cut line, edit the sketch and put a dimension that you will hide later!

I actually constrained the cut line on a midpoint of the edge of the piece.

Removing this constraint, I made a simple modification of one of my assembly pieces to see and I get the same result.

Too bad it was well seen.

I have to redo my study, maybe a bug? I'll see but it's quite tiring this kind of thing.

I understand, and still surprising. Would you make a cut within a cup???

No, it's a detail view of a section. I come to do a test directly in my cup: same! It's incomprehensible.

I'm going to blame it on a bug before I yell at this software (laughs)

:) Did you by chance, select the view before drawing your sketch??

Sometimes you work on one view, then when you decide to make a cut on another view, solid by default keeps selected the view you were working on previously and it easily makes a mess...

(Solidworks becomes... Fragilworks is back!!! :) )

From memory yes, it was a reflex at home with catia V5 (the selection of the active view).

Thank you, if I find anything I'll come back and write it on this post.

Too bad I redo the 3d and then the drawing.

ok, have a good end of the day

In what direction the displacement took place in relation to the view: in depth or laterally.
It is possible that the edges to which the dimensions were attached have disappeared because of the modification (even if visually it does not change). For example, a part with a groove, if you change sides in relation to the groove, the phenomenon may occur.

still not found the reason, ...

It was when I made a minor change on my 3D, my eyesight moved almost half and the dimensions remained in their initial position by losing their link (brown).

I haven't had the case for the moment on my new plan. I'm going to put it down to a bug.

Thank you in any case.
