Ordinal Odds

Hello again,

Is it possible with the ordinal dimension function in MEP to start not at 0 but at a desired dimension?

Thank you

Hello
It seems to me that this is not possible, the ordinal dimension function is based on a coordinate start equal to 0 and all distances are given with respect to this 0 (which seems logical to me with regard to the "rules" of industrial design).
Apart from fiddling with the standard dimensions to obtain a result that will not necessarily be identical (you can't position the value of the dimension as it is positioned on an ordinal dimension)

By drawing a sketch line (or a point of the desired length to start at 0 at the end of this line then you hide the 0 (hack solution not managed to hide the sketch line)

No real solution other than hacking.

+1 apart from defining an origin outside the room, I don't see (and it's better not to have it in km hihihi)

At the same time I don't necessarily understand the point unless your only tape measure has been passed through the guillotine shears and you are missing the first 583 mm!

Hello

You can always manually change the values but it's not great because you have to change one by one manually and the slightest movement is not taken into account (distance not calculated from the first value and the values entered manually do not change in case of modification)

The idea is to automatically set civil engineering altitudes (so they don't start from 0)
For the moment it's a matter of urgency but it's a source of error.
sbadenis I have already thought of this " Hack" but it is not possible to hide only the dimension lines and keep only the attachment lines as on the attached view

E if you uncheck ordinary channel:

Example with the hidden 0 dimension (the point for reference is the origin):
