Color on mecano in mep

Hello

Is it possible to put different colors in a drawing on  a mechanically welded part?
For example, the 50 square tubes in red, the 40 square tubes in green.... knowing that it's a single piece

Thanks in advance

Hello

You have to create configurations or display states in the room, and then assign them the desired colors.

Here is the help that corresponds to:

yes it's possible to put diff colors

it seems to me that it is enough to do it via the groups

for 3D it works well

so in real ISO view you must be able to have each color dedicated to the band

Hello

normally each tube has a function and if you click on the function and assign the color to it it will work and for symmetries you must not forget to check "propagate visual properties" in the symmetry function....

Thank you for your answers,

Indeed, I can create different colors on the parts of the room, but in the drawing, unless I'm mistaken, it only takes into account the color of the part but not the bodies.

@gt22 What do you mean by creating groups?

Groups

A group is a collection of segments linked in a mechanically welded element.

You configure a group to assign all of its segments without affecting other segments or groups in the welded element.

The types of groups are as follows:

Co

ntigu

Continuous outline of segments joined at the ends. You can control how the segments come together. The group's end point can optionally be connected to its starting point.

Parallel

A discontinuous set of parallel segments. The segments of the group cannot touch each other.

  • You can define a group in a single clip or in multiple clips.
  • A group can contain one or more segments.
  • A mechanically welded element can contain one or more groups.

Once you have defined a group, you can manipulate it as if they were a single unit. Use the Mechanically Welded Element PropertyManager to:

  • Specify the tab cut for the segments in the group.
  • Create weld clearances between segments to allow space for weld seams.
  • Symmetrize the profile of a single group.
  • Align, rotate or translate the profile of a group without affecting the other groups of the mechanically welded element.

you have to apply the color to the function and there it works.... see PJ

Adding Groups

  1. Create a sketch.
  2. Click Welded  Element (Welded Structures toolbar) or Insert >  Welded Constructions > Welded Element.
  3.  Select options in the PropertyManager to define the profile of the mechanically welded element.
  4. To create the first group, select a series of segments on the sketch.

The second segment you select determines the type of group.

    • To create a contiguous group, select a segment adjacent to the first segment.
    • To create a parallel group, select a segment that is parallel to the first segment.

Group1 appears under Groups. Under Parameters, the identifiers for the paths you selected appear under Path Segments.

  5. To create the next group, right-click Create New Group under Selections, and then click New Group.
  6. Select the second set of segments.

  7. Select a group from the Groups list and change its attributes under Settings.
  8. Click and  create additional mechanically welded elements, as required.

 @gt 22 Thank you I understood

@ac cobra 427 works in  shaded image but not in wireframe

A resolution on the appropriate answer will close the question

I don't think you can find a solution to do it in wire. Even with the component's line font function handling this; Because it is a welded mechanical part and not an ASM and moreover in the question it was not a question!! Otherwise WE could have told you right away.....

Thank you for your answers,

I'm going to make a request for improvement to SW because it would be very convenient

total incomprehension @ be

The question was:

Is it possible to put different colors in a drawing on  a mechanically welded part?

an explanation is necessary, it seems to me???????????????????????????????????????

@gt 22: A drawing was implied for me in wireframe. It is true that I should have specified this given that they can be made in shade.

Sorry, I'll make sure to be more specific next time.

So to solve my question (I add "wired")  there seems to be no solution hence the choice of ac cobra 427

As said before

if you put an isometric view in shadow with bubbles

You find all your pieces with their dedicated colors

nothing prevents you from having the left-facing views in wireframe

it seems to me and on the visual side it's very telling

in short, everyone does as they see fit

or another walkthrough goes through draftsigt but it won't be in auto

you will have to  assign each line a color

hello e job but why not
