In a wide shot of a shaft/hub assembly, I would like to make a local cut at a key and the thread at the end of the shaft. (fig 1)
I would like the tree to be excluded from the cut and to carry out a local cut in the desired place but the fact of having excluded the piece from the cut, the local cut does not apply to the tree
.
Anyone have a solution?

On my side, apart from the Superposition of two views, nothing works.
(local cutting shaft + hidden screws, and local cutting shaft + visible screws)

I succeeded but as usual, you have to be cunning.
I tried to start with a classic cut but indeed there is a problem with the exclusions.
So I went for 2 partial cuts, one rectangular and the next one in potato.
but we end up with a double hatching on the purple pieces.
To remove this effect you have to right click on the 2nd cut in the construction tree / properties and exclude the purple pieces.
Tip to position the cups in the right place, for the first one I clicked on the vertical in red and the 2nd on the green one. (I hate the depth of cut feature)
