Short Investigation on 3D Design in the World of Video Games

I am a student in the field of information systems (IS) and digital transition.

I am carrying out a personal project on the new interactions of the digital world and video games, an activity that is now widely democratized in our modern societies; and their relationship to the world of three-dimensional (3D) environment design.

I would like to offer your members a short questionnaire, the answers to which will be very useful to me to explore and characterize the new interactions of the digital world (current and future) and fun activities of participation in video games by non-professional or also professional players.

I will also be able to communicate to you, (on request), the partial results of the proposed answers.

This questionnaire of about fifteen questions is completely anonymous, no personal data of any kind will be used.

This questionnaire also meets the standards of the GDPR personal data regulations.

Kind regards

Hello.

Probably very interesting as an investigation, but I don't think you targeted the right forum for that!
Here, it's more CAD (Computer-Aided Design) => PC-based mechanical part design

As much as I often tell my children that my job is to do like them: make circles and squares to draw, I doubt that you are looking for this kind of games

For pong it should do it :innocent:

… Solidworks " Virtual Courses" his account?

In terms of rendering, it's not far from the Doom of 1993 ... only lacks an FPS mode. (First Person Shooter)

In terms of " environment design", SW can still have its share of usefulness.
Starting with the modeling of objects, which is certainly not the prerogative.
With games becoming more and more realistic and capable, the design of realistic mechanisms, or at least credible, that they can integrate can be done through CAD.
Infrastructure and building modelling as well.
For the pitches, it is no longer suitable at all.

In any case, it will probably be necessary to process these models with other software to adapt their topology to video games.

Thank you for your feedback... Constructive. The basic idea is the convergence of public digitization, IGN, Heritage... etc. and making them available to the public. On the other hand, a large part of these environmental or municipal digitizations can be (re)exploited commercially.
The other basic idea is the democratization of video games in the public and the willingness of the public to get more involved in participation, other than through mooding, (well, already confidential), but a very large market can open up in the active participation of players in their favorite game (minecraft, roblox ... etc). The world of gamers is also evolving with specialized tech profiles due to their professional activity in tech. In short, if you have other opinions, I'm all for  it
