Crash odbc32:00003cb1

Hi all
It's been several months now that I've had 2 to 4 crashes (sometimes more) per day, with data loss or roll back, the message that comes up the most is "odbc32:00003cb1", although the ODBC connection is successfully tested
After several interventions from Visiativ support, switching from Solidworks 2019 to 2022SP4 and then 5, updating the SQL database, changing the PC and ethernet cable, the problem persists...
The strangest thing being that it only happens on 1 workstation out of 2, I did the SW and PDM installation in the same way, following the editor's procedure on the 2 workstations, the computers are Fujitsu Celsius W5012
I don't really know the subject but everything seems to indicate a communication problem with the server
If anyone has already encountered this problem or has an idea where it could come from, any help is good to take

Thanks in advance

Yours sincerely

Lucas

Hello
Unless I'm mistaken, the ODBC32 DLL is an Office DLL. Maybe that's where you should look, which version of Office do you have? Is it the same for all positions? Was there an update to Office after installing SW...

Hello
I don't remember that there was an office update after the installation of SW, not voluntary in any case, on my computer I have Office 365 Version: 18.2306.1061.0
My colleague has version 18.2311.1071.0 on his computer, I will try to install this version to test for some time
Thanks for the lead!

Hello Cyril,
Everything went well yesterday but I just had a crash with error code odbc32 just now
I remember getting a message from my anti-virus telling me that there was a duplicate IP address detected on the network, I'll see with the IT department to give me a new ip

Hello
Update: I still have a crash with error code odbc32, 2 times a day
Changing the IP address didn't solve the problem either

Hello;

It's not really my thing to manage DLLs and other databases but I found this:

https://commentouvrir.com/blog/comment-reparer-les-erreurs-odbc32-dll-manquantes-ou-introuvables/

But if your workstation and your colleague's have the same configuration (office, Windows...) try to get the DLL that works from your colleague to copy it to you.

Kind regards.

Hello

While searching a bit, I came across this link: SOLIDWORKS® Support Monthly News – February 2023
To be seen but probably a problem in the IPs that disrupts the connection to the SQL database.
If you are under a maintenance contract, it would be easier to bring in someone who masters PDM installations. Moreover if I remember correctly, since 2020 it is no longer SQLExpress server that is distributed/usable with Solidworks PDM but a full-fledged SQL server (Microsoft's strategy $$$)

We will follow up on your leads with our IT department
In the meantime, Visiativ support has contacted me and we are trying solutions with a few days of testing between each intervention
I'll keep you posted, if it can help other people
Thanks again for your leads
