Systematic crash during a selection on Solidworks 2022 SP2

Hello everyone,

I have a "slight" problem on Solidorks 2022 S.P2. When I select a point and a face in any assembly and I let go of the CTRL key, POOF! My solidworks crashes and closes...

I manage to do without it at times but at other times I'm stuck and I have to find another way to rate my Assemblage.

So I wanted to know if among you, those who own this version have the same problem or if you have solved it?

A colleague has the same problem as me and I have already spent 3 hours on the phone with a person from the technical service without any result. We completely deleted Solidworks and followed a very precise reinstallation process but without solving my problem unfortunately...

The person I had on the phone was sorry because he didn't see where the problem could come from. So if there is a charitable soul among you who could help me, I'm all for it!

Thank you for any answer!

Kind regards

Hello

I had almost the same problem a few days ago except that it crashed when I was doing a cross-sectional view.

I had the problem on the workstation and on the laptop (with the same activation key)

The hotline intervened and it was necessary to clean up the C++ modules and put the right modules back.

The problem is due to the fact that the de-installation of the old versions was not done in full during the installation of the 2021

An intervention at the level of the BDR has finished improving the whole.

Kind regards

PS the hotline must solve your problem anyway since you are under maintenance if you have the 2022. It's up to them to find the right expert.

Hello Zozo_mp!

First of all, thank you and I have indeed had it several times by making a cut and updating some ribs as well.

We have already done these operations with the hotline, we have removed all the C++ modules and put back the essentials.

For them, the installation is done correctly.

To do with the BDR indeed

Kind regards

(indeed that's what they told me too but for the moment they can't know where the problem comes from)

Good evening

If they left the ticket open, it's fine.

Do you have a mobile phone for example?

If so, you install SW on it and share your license so you'll see what happens.

Out of curiosity, are you on an individual or network workstation?

Kind regards

Yes, they left the ticket open until they had a solution:)

I'm going to try, indeed we'll see, but as it does on a colleague's workstation too, I'm a little scared but we'll see

I have a fixed license personally. And I don't work from my company's network because it can slow down everything and create other crashes for me^^

Kind regards

Hello

Also pay attention to the graphics optimization, a new feature that only works if you have the latest generation graphics cards, so you might as well disable it)

I guess the hotline has disabled it (they are good at it in principle)

Keep us informed after the PB resolution

Kind regards

Hello @Zozo_mp!

I come to deliver a message that my problem is FINALLY solved!! Unfortunately I don't have a "real" technical answer. To put it simply, the SP3.1 version has just been released, I installed it and I don't have any problems at all!

So I put it for those who have the SP2 version and who have this problem just like me, switch to the SP3....

I did a lot of tests and no more crashes, I even roughed up my computer by taking very large assemblies and nothing! So thank you very much for all your help and see you next on the site! <3

Kind regards
