Creation of "Gueule-de-loup" (tube-tube junction) automatically in Inventor

Hi all

We want to use Inventor to create pipes on our boiler productions, but we have "welded" type tube junctions (see example image), i.e. we do not use an intermediate part (connection tee).
We would therefore like to recover the 2 parts to assemble with the corresponding "wolf's mouths" (in order to make manufacturing plans).

We don't want to use an intermediate function (cutting the intersection).

We couldn't find the automatic function in the piping module and our software provider currently doesn't have a solution.

Do you know a solution to this problem?

Thank you!

For information, and found on this site, here is what it is possible to do in Solidworks and that we want to do in Inventor:

Hello

On SW to perform what you want it is mandatory to have the piping module available only the Prenium version.

I don't know if there is such a module on Inventor. But apparently yes: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/autodesk-inventor/module-piping-sur-inventor-2015-version-d-evaluation

See you

Thanks Remrem but we do use the piping module and it is in this one that we are looking for the function of creating "wolf's faces".

Thank you gt22, I was just watching this video, nice coincidence!

But this allows us to obtain the developed parts in order to create them by rolling sheet metal, and our goal is to obtain directly the wolf's mouth through the piping module in order to make the plasma cuts via the recovered files.

and you can't get the equisse of your edge for the plasma cutting of your stitches

and post it on another transposable file

@gt22 if it 's quite possible to go through this, but we especially want to see what Autodesk offers to equalize the ease of implementation of Solidworks regarding this point ;)!

And what do autodesk answer you about it

for my part I am + solidworks and Catia

and there I know how to do without pale

Waiting for an answer now!

But I'm going to send the Solidworks video to our supplier Autodesk to show them what we want, and that this criterion can be decisive for the choice of our future CAD software.

I'll post the answer here as soon as I get it!

Following the supplier's response:

This feature does not exist in the Inventor Pipping module, it would nevertheless be possible to have a "gateway" thanks to the Frame Generator module, but nothing very concrete for the moment!

well @ Aurélien

At least you know they don't know how to do it

It's quite rare to see a salesman tell you we don't know how to do it
