Create an " Offset Surface" of the bottom of the footprint, with an offset of 0.0 mm. This generates a new surface body: " Surface-Shift3 ". Hide the volume body of the " Leave2 " handle.
In a 3D sketch, create a sketch outline 0.5 mm away from the outer contour of the face by " Offset on Surface ". This value must be adapted to match the desired clearance between the handle and the future lid.
Use the " Restrict Surface " surface function to remove the outer edge.
Use the " Boss/Base " > " Thicken " function to give the plate its thickness (1 mm). Uncheck the " Merge result " box to create a second volume body, the lid.
This body can be saved as a part by right-clicking on the " Bulkhead " branch of the building tree, then " Save Bodies " option.
