Create 2 screws of the same length with Toolbox

Hello

I'm new to the toolbox tool in Solidworks, I'd like to use it to create a standard fastener base.

Each of our screws has a code assigned to it, for example I have a reference for an ISO 4017 Zinc Plated H M6x12 screw and a reference for an M6x12 ISO 4017 Rough H screw.

How can I create two same screws in toolbox with only the processing changing?

 Sincere regards,

Hello

Have you tried copying and pasting parts into your toolbox database location?

http://www.forum-cao-3d.fr/toolbox/comment-ajouter-des-profils-perso-a-la-toolbox-t7246.html

Try opening your toolbox part

Parameter your materials Zinc

save as/ CHECK MARK INSAVE COPY AS

renamed the zinc screw and recorded

Same handling for the crude

Otherwise you can create property forms which allows you to define your materials very quickly

I'm sending you a tutorial for that

I hope this helps you

You should use the toolbox configuration tool in the windows menu "Start/All programs/SolidWorks 20xx/SolidWorks tools/Toolbox 20xx settings"

In step 1 copy a standard (e.g. ISO) and save so that the folder containing the screws and other toolbox components is "created".

Once saved, you will be able to edit the drilling wizard, add sizes, rename the holes... (remember to record)

In step 2 you will be able to change the names, add sizes...

This way, when adding components, you will be able to choose your custom standard. Same in the piercing assistant, you will have access to a new standard...

EDIT: Well I have a problem changing the names in the end... I have to look a little more

EDIT 2: I have tested it a bit, and it would be necessary to export the data to excel and modify the column "Part Number" so in the nomenclature we will have this property which will be displayed in the column "Part Number"

EDIT 3: I just realized that the http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/creation-des-propriete-de-toolbox-avec-excel tutorial from gt22 answers exactly the problem posed...

Thank you all for your answers,

The import export tool with Excel is just perfect.

And I also copied the ISO standard to create other types of screws.

Well now  my problem is that I just realized that toolbox only works with premium and professional licenses, and obviously we only have a premium license and the rest is standard..... -_- (let's stay calm, drink fresh...)

 Anyway, thank you again.

A little tip to know:

If you want to create certain sizes of screws, especially M14 which is often missing in standard lists, you must make sure to put the decimal in the 2.0 step and not just 2 otherwise there will be a problem when building the screw.

I had this problem when building my own list from the CHC 4762 and the H screws on the other hand not on the grub screws. (I think there is a problem in the equations that build the heads)

This is still true in the 2019 version, I don't know if it was solved in 2020.

To be seen...
