I'm writing to you because I'm annoyed with the basic solidworks basemaps. I would like to create a personalized one with the logo of my company which automatically adapts to the paper format chosen during the drawing (A4 landscape or portrait, A3...)
I saw the tutorial to create drawing templates but I can't access it.
Can you help me create my own or tell me if there are any templates to download other than the ones provided as standard?
Do you already have an idea for its creation? If so, we can maybe make a basic model... To know that for the drawing model you also need to know the properties to be metered ...
If you transfer a small sketch I can probably make it for you quickly;)
Yes I have an idea for the cartouche (see sketch), it's a "basic" model I think. After for the filling, I would like the date, scale, format and designation to fill in automatically if possible?
And for the rest, I will have to create links so that the number is filled in according to the file where the plan will be saved...
The VSM standards just affect the size of the boxes if I'm not mistaken?
I'm going to prepare the A4 Portrait / Landscape and A3 model for you ... with the background plan directly integrated and with the text where you can put the link according to your pieces:) and I'm passing them on to you on this question... like its if someone looks for them too he will also have them :) ... VSM standards may involve the part of the drawing, the text... tolerances ... etc....
So just for the record, after I choose the A4 portrait or the A3 or the A0 for example, the dimensions will automatically adjust to the format of the sheet, right?
And don't bother with the VSM standards, just if I can have an outer frame for the sheet it will be perfect.
Here I made you some model, I left the sides ... if you would like to make it smaller... or I noted the link must be made with your properties... and only after you're done you can do it as a background template ;) ... it's a basic model and I took your sketch but the frame is standardized according to the VSM
I put the basic versions and the model versions, I'll let you see which one you want to modify;)
I hope I was able to help me move forward a little :)
Thank you for the templates, it helps me a lot yes, I will be able to use them and try to create the links with the help of the tutorial provided by Alain.
