Hello

Can we define a vertical A4 format for the creation of views and PDF files and then print the views as pages of a protocol?

Hello

Yes, we can... But to do this, you need to create what are called PDF templates (with Adobe Acrobat for example).

 

Then in 3Dvia composer (SolidWorks Composer now), you just have to choose the template you want when you export it to PDF.

Ok, is it complicated to create these templates? Is it possible to define the "active" area (which is not grayed out) of the window where you have the 3D as you want or for example size it by an image that you stick in the background of the plan like a cartridge.

No, it's not complicated, but you need Adobe Acrobat (or Acrobat 3D).

Clearly, SolidWorks Composer is only used to format views as you want them, with the information you want.

SolidWorks Composer only exports views, the formatting of the PDF doc is done with Adobe Acrobat.
