I'm going to clarify, sorry that I wasn't precise.
I have my plan in front of me, and I want to put the emblem of society on it. I already have blocks created in solidworks, and I can put them in my drawing, but I'd like to create the image so that I only have to place it once.
In what format should it be saved? Can I do it by just having solidworks, paint for example?
Hello, The block c is good when you want to create a series of plans of various formats with the same cartridge. On the other hand, the image logo does not follow the movement.
IN ADDITION, it is totally not recommended to leave a block in a drawing. You stick it, you "adjust" it and then you explode it.
You freeze the lines and that way your drawing is lighter.
There are also 2 things to do when you create a new drawing
l save as a template (when you click saved under in the menu you select drawing model)
and saved it in the background of the plan (when you click on menu you go down and you see saved drawing)
the interest of the second is that you can take an already existing MeP and replace it with your drawing with another logo, all without changing anything or almost nothing (after all of course it depends on the links of the properties)
In fact you want to make a block with an image (jpeg, BMP or other)?
If that's it, follow the instructions in @coyote: Tools/Sketch Tools/Sketch Image and select your image.
Once your image is in the drawing, you can simply copy/paste the image between clip templates, or make a block. BUT, to make an image block, you must at least select a second entity (like a dot!). SW refuses to make a block of just one image.
To make a block I repeat the message above:
You have to select all the entities, right click "Create a block", Validate the selection.
There you have your block, then you click on it again, right click "Save block" in SLDBLK.
