Create a Frame for a Drawing

Hello

There you go, I want to put the company's logo in the box at the bottom  , only problem, I don't know how to do it at all ^^.

On the other subjects, I see that it's for a 3D part, but the same goes for a block that will be used for a drawing?

Thank you

Hello

Want to create a block? Document templates need to be modified or new ones created.

By right-clicking on a drawing, you can "Edit the basemap".

After editing, you can save-under by choosing the "slddrt" basemap format

There are already questions on this subject:

Create a Title Block:

Hello

If your logo is in DWG, copy and paste from Autocasd or Draftsight.

If it's an image, just insert the image.

All this while editing the background of the drawing and then you save everything as a template so that you don't have to start over every time.

Otherwise I don't understand the link between the question and the title of the question?

You have to select all the entities, right click "Create a block", Validate the selection.

There you have your block, then you click on it again, right click "Save block" in SLDBLK.

There you go

And they were faster than me, to put an image in it, you just have to insert it:

Edit: there's even a tutorial on Lynkoa for creating a basemap:

I'm going to clarify, sorry that I wasn't precise.

I have my plan in front of me, and I want to put the emblem of society on it. I already have blocks created in solidworks, and I can put them in my drawing, but I'd like to create the image so that I only have to place it once.

In what format should it be saved? Can I do it by just having solidworks, paint for example?

Hello, The block c is good when you want to create a series of plans of various formats with the same cartridge. On the other hand, the image logo does not follow the movement.

IN ADDITION, it is totally not recommended to leave a block in a drawing. You stick it, you "adjust" it and then you explode it.

You freeze the lines and that way your drawing is lighter.

There are also 2 things to do when you create a new drawing

l save as a template (when you click saved under in the menu you select drawing model)

and saved it in the background of the plan (when you click on menu you go down and you see saved drawing)

the interest of the second is that you can take an already existing MeP and replace it with your drawing with another logo, all without changing anything or almost nothing (after all of course it depends on the links of the properties)

The image in jpg is good, after you can use bmp, but it all depends on the quality of the images.

In fact you want to make a block with an image (jpeg, BMP or other)?

If that's it, follow the instructions in @coyote: Tools/Sketch Tools/Sketch Image and select your image.

Once your image is in the drawing, you can simply copy/paste the image between clip templates, or make a block. BUT, to make an image block, you must at least select a second entity (like a dot!). SW refuses to make a block of just one image.

To make a block I repeat the message above:

You have to select all the entities, right click "Create a block", Validate the selection.

There you have your block, then you click on it again, right click "Save block" in SLDBLK.

If you just want to add the logo to all your drawings, you need to modify the document template as I indicated above!

To find out where it is, you can go to Tools > Options > File Location > Basemaps

You will have to overwrite the existing one by making a save as.

For the format, I think SolidWorks accepts everything: jpeg pgn bmp (but prefer one of the first 2, less heavy in file size).

Edit: and it has nothing to do with a block!

Quite simply, if in front of you, you have your drawing with your cartridge etc...

All you have to do is right-click on an empty place on your sheet and choose "Edit background"

There, the plan edit opens. (a bit like a sketch)

All you have to do is add your logo, a jpeg image or something else.

Be careful, you have to finalize everything by doing "file/save the background".

And that's it!

Exactly as I indicated in my first message @Bart ;-)

Well, my internship is over, and I didn't have time to achieve what I wanted.

So for the moment, I've come back to Solidworks student ^^.

I was able to try what you told me for a while. I then choose who has the right answer, even though I think you are all right^^
