Create an animation on solidworks

Hi all

I could use a little help. I only have a little experience on solidworks and I have difficulty animating my assembly.

To better understand my problem, I am attaching a photo of my assembly.

I would like my bucket shown in green to follow the trajectory of my piece in orange.

The animation will allow me to know if the bucket will be able to pass well and will not get stuck.

Thank you in advance for your valuable advice

Create a sketch on the axis of your horseshoe on the same plane as the low level of your green piece This sketch should go for the gray axis of the pieces and all the way to the end

Red line in my image

On your green piece create a sketch on the bottom view at the blue line axis

On this axis you put 2 points 1 at each end blue cross

It's up to you to constrain each cross to a red line

After with a free movement of the should be able to do the ride if you are in an assembly

but at first sight you have to crawl

Hello

Once constrained correctly according to the GT22 method, place your part at the starting point, move the time bar (orange) ex 2s and move your part by a consistent distance at the desired speed. Repeat this exercise at regular intervals (e.g. 6 times) until the end of the stroke. Place keys each time you move to control the position of the workpiece.

Before playing the animation, click on the icon that looks like a calculator to have your animation calculated.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to respond.

I tried to follow the GT22 constraint method

Unfortunately, it's complicated for me, I created a sketch in relation to the horseshoe axis and I don't know how to do the rest.

How should I constrain the sketch created to the red line of the visual?

I saw that there was a totally constrained sketch function, should I use this one?

Finally, I created the sketch in the assembly, is there any particular problem?

I also took care to research on other positions and to look at the tutorials offered.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

You have to use trajectory constraint, in advanced constraints and constrain the 1st point with the sketch and do the same for the 2nd point

Thank you for your responsiveness sbadenis

I'm stuck on the trajectory selection, I created a sketch and I put construction lines for which I will use for the trajectory of the green bucket. (but I can't select them)

Am I off to a good start?

Sorry for my lack of experience:p

Hello

You can create a path sketch in the orange room on a plane parallel to your green room, and convert the features of the track outlines, then use offset features to make your path set in the middle of your track.

The assembly

In the assembly you just have to click on the box and move it with the mouse

now you have all the parts, the assemblies

and views

so you should get there it seems to me
