Create a dimension between 2 views on solidworks

Hi all

I need to create a distance between 2 views in a drawing in solidworks.

How to do it?

Thank you in advance

Hello It won't be possible without inserting a point or a straight line in a sketch in the drawing.

Hello

Yes, Lucas is right, we have to get around the problem. put 2 points yourself where your odds should be attached and rate the 2 points, and of course enter the value of the odds yourself so as not to have a completely wrong value

Reminder:

To replace the value of a dimension in a plan msie, you have to click on it, and in the property manager that appears on the right, click on replace value, or delete the text (<DIM>) of the dimension with the value you want.

A drawing is via a part or assembly

if you want to create a dimension via 2 different pieces

You have to create an assembly via a connection between the 2 pieces

that you can hide in your assembly

so will not be visible on the drawing

but your rating may be visible

I thank Lucas Prieur for this simple solution.

Thank you very much.

Hello

A little more detail following the email received:

Just create a sketch with 2 points close to each other (so that they are in the same view).
Then constrain the points vertically or horizontally between them.
Then constrain point 1 with respect to view 1, then move point 2 in the direction of view 2.
The problem is that we will not be able to constrain point 2 in relation to view 2.
You have to add a dimension between the 2 points to position point 2 correctly, then replace the value as indicated above.
