Create an extrusion between any 2 planes

Hello Mr m_blt

Following an error on my part on the dimensions of the basket (purchase from the store) that I use to put on the extension, it does not fit, the flat parts of the slip are thicker than the model I had sent you, and the dimensions are slightly different.

I have tried to modify the sketch of the extension you have made but I cannot do so because I am too limited in my knowledge of SolidWorks.

Would it be possible for you to make this change?

Kind regards

Daniel

Hello

With some exceptions, a sketch should be fully constrained before being used to generate a volume or surface function.

Since March 2025, you should have reread and used one of my previous remarks about the interest of constraining sketches.
The one that serves as the basis for your extension is completely free (imported, from a copy/paste?), and the slightest attempt to modify it makes it explode. :exploding_head:

I have done the dimensioning/constraints work on this Sketch1, which involves choices related to the functions of the part: what are the " reference entities" from which the geometry is built?
This choice for me is the axes (in blue) and the shapes at the connections of the support face with the pollen basket, then the few associated dimensions, to set up the upper side.
As for the rest, I tried to respect the initial geometry of the sketch as much as possible...

To answer your specific question, simply change the radius dimension R1.20 to change the distance of the sliding groove faces on the basket.

It deserves one or 2 jars of honey all this work :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thank you very much for your help.

Indeed, I need to take advantage of your remarks on constraints. I learn CAD as the problems I encounter, courses would be of great use to me.

And as @froussel says, your work deserves compensation, and it would be a pleasure for me to send you honey, if you can give me your contact details on my address: lerucherdedamiel@yahoo.com indicating what you want in terms of honey scent (all spring or summer flowers, chestnut).

Kind regards

Daniel
