Create a Note with Perimeter Ownership

Hi all

After several unsuccessful attempts, I turn to you.

I wanted to know if any of you would be able to create a note with the link pointing to the "  Perimeter " measurement property

Maybe I'm missing out on something simple...

Thanks in advance.

Hello

It works with this:

Click Tools > Dimensions > Path Length, or right-click the sketch and click Dimensions > PathTool_Path_Length_Dimension Length.

http://help.solidworks.com/2014/french/WhatsNew/c_path_length_dimension.htm

In fact, what I would need is that when we click on the face of the part in the 3D or in the drawing and then we go to the plan, then measure, it gives us the information svt:

Area: 7128.60mm ^2
Perimeter: 503.47mm
32090123.SLDPRT
File: 32090123.SLDPRT Configuration: Defect<Rough>

And I would like to create a link "link to the property" but I can't; I find the area but not the perimeter. With your way Pl when I create the note I don't have access to this data.

Hello

This is a very handy macro to do this.

Hi coyote,

In the zip there is no macro but a .msi file while a macro should have had .swp

Yes I said macro but it's an msi installation that is offered

Is it possible to create this dimension via a spline that corresponds to the perimeter of your room

See this tutorial

I would like it to be a note with a link to be able to put it either in the room or in the drawing and maybe even in the long run if it works well to increment in a line in the cartridge. This is to have the cutting length for lasers.

My small program and not macro doesn't suit you? However, it allows you to create a property from an area and therefore to be able to create a note pointing to this property in the drawing...

 Hello ac cobra 427,

For that on your plan, on your sheet metal do right CLC then anotations then property of the list of welded parts. You'll get all the information from the sheet metal.

may the force be with you.

After trying everything the OBI WAN solution and the one that works best, I was able to modify all this to make a note that I bring back as I see fit and integrate it into my cartridge afterwards...
