Invisible mouse cursor in a drawing note

Hello

For some time now I don't see my mouse cursor when I edit a note in a drawing, it's annoying when you want to modify it you don't know where you are.

I can select the text that I want, it's highlighted in black. In a call number, I see it.

Do you have a solution to make it reappear.

On the other installed software, I see the cursor.

I tested windows display settings, nothing changes in Solidworks.

Thank you

Hello @loulilol

Did you have this problem before or is it very recent.

In other words, is this problem new?

Do you have the same problem on another post? You can also post your part and your plan so that we can see if we have the pb (in this case make a pack and go so that we have the links between the parts and the plan)

With automatic Windows updates, it can happen that some drivers become obsolete in some programs.

Because let's not forget that SW is thousands of small programs that are called depending on what you do.

If the person who wrote this piece of program mishandled the display conditions, you may have a problem.

One way would be to update the mouse driver (especially if it's a slightly exotic mouse).

Kind regards

Hello zozo_mp,

It must have been 1 year, following an update I think, since then I've dealt with it. I have a little time to watch now.

On the other workstations of the Zbook design office (same hardware, same configuration (in theory) managed by the info department), no problem with the same drawings.

A note in an empty drawing has the problem.

With the laptop pad it's the same problem.

Thank you for your feedback

Ask one of your colleagues to make the plan in question to check that it is not the MEP file that is corrupted.

If it works elsewhere and your MEP file is not faulty, then ask the IT department to look at your machine and compare the version and driver levels against the others.

Also beware of files imported from online providers, it happened to me once that I could not use the downloaded file.

Kind regards

Thank you for your answers, I'll see with the info service.

Hello

If the problem only arises on your workstation, it may be the graphics card driver that is not up to date with your SW2018 version. See on this site:

 Hello jmsavoyat,

I'll compare with other Zbooks in the office and ask the info department to update if necessary.

Thank you.

Hello

I have "finally" solved my cursor problem, it was the graphics card driver which was too recent (following an automatic update I think).

The correct driver for my Nvidia Quadro P3200 graphics card on a Zbook G5 (Windows 10) is on: 27.21.14.5225 of September 2020.

Kind regards.
