In a SOLIDWORKS 3D Assembly How to Hide a Component That Appears in Different Subassemblies

Hello

I work with large assemblies (10,000 pieces)

I use the same component that appears in many sub-assemblies
I wish I could hide it everywhere in one operation
in order to be able to create a clean save in eDrawing

is possible?

Hello

You can use the filter (located at the top of the FeatureManager) by giving the name of the component. This shows you those parts and then you can select them to hide them  .

Kind regards

Thank you for your quick response

I have already tried this solution but without success

I forgot to mention that I'm in Solidworks 2017 Sp5

I work in solved mode because I have a lot of equations that use this component to resize part of the machine

and so on the search appears wherever the piece is cited

I try to make screenshots quickly to show what it feels like

You can switch to solved the time to recalculate the equations and then go back to light.

Hello

I don't know if it was already available in SW 2017, but by right-clicking in the graphics window, scroll down the submenu of the "Select" arrow then use "select identical components", then just click on one of your parts so that all the same  parts are selected, all you have to do is hide them.

Have a good day to you.

Indeed it is not available in 2017 version

but it meets my need

and provides an additional argument to upgrade to the next version:)
We are evaluating the 2020 version, I am looking to see if it works quickly

Thank you for your help:D
