Why can SolidWorks never do things the way I want to do them, or the way it should do them?
I would like to understand if it is Dassault that is looking for war by undermining our ground, or just my karma

just the Karma hihihihhi
More seriously, is there one thing in particular that causes you problems?
I don't know why but I have the impression that SYLK is angry!
SYLK has taken a gust of wind! He has all the hair on one side so it's sure to throw things off balance somewhere!

Hello friends
One thing in particular, yes, but not only. It's basically always the same old story; I start to design something, then finally there always comes a time when THE thing I NEED to do, even simple, turns out to be either impossible or too restrictive or involves restrictions or I have to procrastinate or juggle with other software.
The last thing that makes me go crazy is the splines...
WHY aren't there in this SolidWorks gas factory vector design tools as basic as in Illustrator?
WHY are DRIVEN curves (!!) not discounted when a variable changes value? If there is an option for this please tell me, if there is none, WHY?
WHY is the topology of the volumes generated by revolution so bad instead of ensuring the continuity of the mesh? And WHY no tools or settings to edit or control it?
WHY does a deformation display a compliant but validated forecast no longer looks like anything, or even disappears altogether?
WHY does a bending remove elements added by combination when they are supposed to be one and the same body?
That was just this weekend and I don't know...
Not to mention SW's 18 crashes trying to do simple things.
Yes, I am at that point; I spend more time learning what doesn't work to avoid it, than what should work to apply it.
I wasted my weekend going around in circles in SW for nothing since in the end the only way to do something in Solidworks is not to do it in Solidworks.
For a spline, I'm going to have to go through Illustrator and then import it. Well done.
Anyway, if it's not a deliberate machination to stop progress and make the user spin, it still looks very much like it!!
Hello
If we go to Solidworks 2023 with the latest service pack (latest update).
Does it improve anything?
For my part, I noticed that its solve some problems but create new ones the old functions are sometimes updated but on the other hand the new new functions have a lot of errors
And what is a shame is that you have to buy the licenses of the other updated software grafted on to SolidWorks: CAM, gear software, etc ... (very expensive, often with little result)
Now see in the details of the service pack it is not indicated bug fix in spline
ah that's the predictions that are ok, and when you validate you have the right to a nice FUCK, I know, except that lately I don't have some predictions, it's even more mysterious, even for a simple removal of material.
