I need to include part of a large assembly in the drawing of a small (assembly).
I can't modify the large assembly, so I call my large assembly in another assembly and I do a "material removal" function (simple extrusion of a prismatic profile).
Even if you check "all components" in the action area, there are still pieces.
Given that there are still enough numbers left for me not to go into the idea of hiding them from view (we are obliged, if I am not mistaken, to select them one by one).
Did you have the problem and possibly how did you solve it?
I don't really see the story of cutting in the assembly but when I want to locate a small one in a big one, I put my big one outside the MeP and I make a detail view that I place next to my small assembly on the MeP of it
See I hide parts if necessary
The handling is the same on a cross-sectional view
Gerald's solution is good, but the thing I hadn't specified was that in the drawing, I called the big assembly as part of a 'view from another position'.
And a detail view based on this kind of view doesn't take into account the other position.
