Unfold in a special shape

Hi all.

I have mega big problems, I have to create the development of the part as an attached file.

I've already managed to create a volume, the strainer should be 2.5 mm but I can't.

If anyone knows how I can make this piece in toletis to have it unfolded.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards.

Your part cannot be made with the SolidWorks sheet metal module (at least I think!). You could at least get it by creating a "Forming Tool".

As for getting a thickness of 2.5mm, have you tried Insetion/Function/Shell?

I added the "shell" function on your part to hollow it out.

But yes, as Benoit says, to unfold a body, it has to be made of sheet metal.

Apart from making a shape tool with this shape that you will come to unfold.

I don't see how you could do it....

Why not go straight to the folded sheet metal?

Hello

This piece cannot be unfolded.

It can be stamped but not bent.

Or you have to make it in two pieces and build it differently.

The rounded base, a folded sheet metal and the top, 6 folded flat faces.

I didn't know how to approach it to make it in sheet metal, I did it in the most urgent hurry it was for a presentation.

@Gt22 sorry for SW's version, and @Bart thanks for making the printout screen.

The hull function did not want to pass because of a bending radius that was too small.

I'm going to look at the stamped side.

Thank you

the only solution for me (at least the simplest)

remove the spokes of the outer faces that prevent you from doing your shell function

and you do them after your case

but it's not a room that is foldable

It is a stamping part, no sheet metal (by bending or bending), so no possibility by the standard functions of SolidWorks

the right software for this is LogoPress

@Bart how did you manage to get the shell through, there's no way for me.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards.

Here is the part with the shell function, as you asked me;)
