Hi all
I'm an electronics engineer but I sometimes do a little solidworks.
I designed a part intended to be manufactured in a foundry (aluminum part). I was going to do the drafts, but I would like the joint line to be in the middle of the room and the drafts to go from that joint line. But, I've been trying for several hours and I don't see how to do it.
I put a picture of my piece, feel free to tell me if I wasn't clear.
Thanks in advance,
Fabrice

Hello
If I have understood correctly where the parting line is located, you have to create a dividing line by selecting the plane as an intersecting element and then select all the faces to be split in two.
Then personally I create an axis to give the general direction of unmolding and then strip with the neutral line option.

Hello
Thank you for your prompt feedback.
I tried to create a dividing line, it's OK for non-planar shapes, but for flat shapes, it doesn't want to (the message is the following: "For silhouette splitting lines, the face(s) to be split must not be flat).
Hello
Never had this message, do you use "Insertion>Curves>Separation Line"?
Hello
Thank you very much, it works perfectly! I had made a mistake in the type of separation.
Thanks again
Have a nice day
