Generative Design

Good morning @tous the members and all the colleagues who speak regularly.

I attended a conference on generative  design software (solidworks is also expected to announce the arrival of its own solution).

I don't really know where to post a report of my impressions and putting into perspective the impacts at a fairly close term on the profession of designer and the possible disappearance of the parametric.

Or share your experiences and information because we don't have access to current affairs as editors. The sections other than the one for asking questions are almost never visited.

Kind regards

Hello @Zozo_mp,

I don't think anyone will blame you if you post that here.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion!

Since we're between us, you can put them here.
It's true that visiting groups is not one of my primary concerns, already that the forum interface is far from optimal, to be polite...

Go for it!

Hello colleagues,

Same for me; Apart from here and the groups that are not very practical I won't see where to post feedback.

In fact, I knew that you could create a news item  by going to

Thank you zozo for sharing. Well explained, simply, with a lot of illustrative images. Anyway, bravo!

Wow, great topo, a Big thank you.

From my point of view as a designer of specialized machines, so no notion of series, it is the example of the mechanically welded part that speaks to me the most.
The parameterization is still cumbersome (but necessary) just at the level of exact definition of the forces.

Thank you @ Zozo for this topo + 10 ;-)

and as always a very good demonstration

of what will soon be possible and available

with the popularization of multi-material  printers
