Drawing iso brochure

Hello

Can someone give me a good method for drawing ISO milling inserts? Of the APKT1604 type, for example.

Thank you

Hello

It's not easy because of the slightly wobbly shape but by using a smoothing, it's quite possible and not very complicated.

Otherwise, it is possible to bare the "base" in volume, create a surface for the top and use the "replace face" function to close the volume with the new surface.

To try:)

Hello, there are several ways to draw this piece,

For me, I will draw the entire volume in extrusion, then I will remove material

respecting the curves of your plate.

Then make the central hole.

Otherwise, sites like tracepart can provide you with this ready-made part.

Good luck!

Attached is an example of volume scanning VS section scanning

Of course, volume scanning does not allow all forms of tooling and can in some cases be very "susceptible"

But for simple shapes it makes it very easy to represent milling since it manages the tailgating, which would be more complicated by a 2D section scan
