Determine a piping metric

Hello

I build a set of object-to-object piping.

I would like to get the pipe metric out of it?

My piping sketches contain only geometric constraints. I didn't need any dimensional constraints.

Julian

Hello, do you have any information on the flanges and its designation, to see.

If you have the sketches, you can create one or more curves that are easy to have the length with the measure command.

In case you used the welded construction, with a detailed nomenclature possible to see the length of each tube, or if with possible routing with notes, see This

Hello Julien,

You have to go and see this one too, which allows you to have the trajectory (developed length).

See attached screenshot:

With SW2020 SP5.

Kind regards.

@lynk I believe this is the premium version of the software?

I'm on a 3D sketch (pipe), everything is greyed out except for the smart dimensioning.

On a 3D sketch, it is impossible to dimension a trajectory, effectively only the measured tool remains.

Here is the least worst solution for a metric in a 3D sketching environment on the SW base version.

  1. Enter the sketch.
  2. Select a piece of the segment you want to measure
  3. Right click "select channel"
  4. Enable the measurement function
  5. Repeat for each tube.

You get a value that you can copy into an excel for example to then summation, classify by pipe size, add over-lengths for execution etc...
