Disappearance of my macro button

as said in the statement, I created a macro in my MEP in order to create a pdf in the special folder, on the other hand I noticed that this button disappeared while I used it yesterday, did anyone have this PB and did it solve it?

THANK YOU

Hello

It happens sometimes, and I don't know why!

You have to put it back by hand, otherwise put the SolidWorks settings back using the wizard (but you have to have saved your settings before)!

In SW 2014 SP4.0, I find that the macro buttons disappear way TOO often!!!

SolidWorks is aware of this and is working on it:

SR# (Service Request): 1-2028585809

SPR#: 574132

Description: On occasion, custom macro buttons no longer be on the toolbar when the user restarts SolidWorks after a crash/hung session.

Status: Implemented.

Version: 2014  SP04

Implemented I think that means it's solved in the next version to be released.

Thank you all, I didn't know.

flegendre, I'm under Sld 2014 SP2 and I also find that it often disappears.

This tool is certainly not promoted enough. However, it is essential within a design office.

Everyone can start from the same base for the parameters (even if everyone adjusts afterwards, but it's human : "I don't like the color of the background... etc :) ).

One very interesting point in particular is all the file locations! It's so ch... To be done, as long as there is only one who does it and redistributes it by the SLDREG!

+1 with @Benoit:

It's called CAD administration (much neglected in small structures with 3 or 4 CAD workstations !!!!)

I totally agree with you, it will help me because I am the one who will take care of the administration of our CAOs 2 or even 3 positions. So I'm going to do my configue and that way everyone will have the same at startup.

@Mathieu:

Quick tip:

you need to centralize in the same directory on your server all the locations of the files related to SolidWorks and why not also Mycad Utilities.

You name your subdirectories with the same name that you find in the "SolidWorks options", then "File location" and "Show folders for:".

More than explanations: see the attachment

The +1 Lynkoa is not enough to approve the @flegendre method!

It's simply billiards if you have to redo a complete configuration!! This is recommended when changing the version of SolidWorks.
