Duplicate a BOM

Hello

I'm on SW2016 SP03 and I need to have two identical and linked BOMs (in order to minimize the source of error in case of modification) on two sheets of the same document.

I found this:

The Nomenclature PropertyManager

Specify the properties of the BOMs.

To open the BOM PropertyManager , do one of the following :

  • Click BOM  on the Table toolbar or, in an open document, click Insert >  BOM >Tables.
  • Click the translation  icon in the upper-right corner of an existing BOM.

BOM Options

Create a new tableCreates a new drawing table.
Copy an existing table

Copies a saved BOM from an assembly or part. Select a BOM from the list. Select Linked to link the data in the drawing BOM to the assembly BOM. Once the link is broken, it cannot be restored. Changes to one of the BOMs are reflected in the other. Formatting is not linked.

 See http://help.solidworks.com/2016/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_DVE_INSERT_BOM.htm

Problem: the "BOM options" tab does not exist at home (see attached screenshot).

Currently the only solution I have is to copy and paste the sheet. The nomenclature is duplicated but the 2 are not linked and the 2 must then be modified, which is annoying and a source of errors.

Thanks in advance:)

Hello

At first glance , the nomenclature must be in 3D.

You can on sheet 1:

ask a view of your ASM

put a BOM on your sheet (BOM= nomenclature) and choose the right configuration!

(I won't talk about the BOM options in this case: library room, etc...)

then for each other view where you are bubbly, you have to make property on the view, and "linked" to your BOM

then you reselect your BOM, and you check: follow, follow sublevel

Then on your sheet 2:

Poses a view outside the plane (which will be dummy)

put a BOM on your view and choose the right config!

Hide your view

reselect your BOM, and you check: call, follow sublevel

Here.

Thank you to both of you! The point goes to Cyril who answers my answer perfectly (I don't have the level of English to fiddle with the English-speaking forums :'( )
