Exploded spare parts

Hello

I currently work for an OEM company that manufactures recreational gardening machines for many brands. We are increasingly faced with a recurring problem concerning our spare parts fragments .

Before, we had an exploded "Parts list" for each machine model, which included  all the colors of parts and options specific to each customer.

Today, more and more of our customers are asking us for a part list specific to their brand, with only their color and options.

I make my assemblies, my exploded drawings and bills of materials with solidworks. My problem is that where before I only had one file to process during an evolution, today it will force me to have as many parts list files as customers...

So I'm addressing the members, I imagine that among you there are bound to be some who work for an OEM manufacturer. I would like to know how you manage your exploded spare parts according to your customers.

Thanks in advance,

Hello

Why not create a configuration by clients?

You will still have a single file but with the choice of colors or options

Reading your description, I will say that SolidWorks Composer (ex 3D via) could help you a lot.

You could have an assembly and several Composer compositions (or even just one), and manage colors, options displays, explodes, renderings...

It is compatible with EPDM.

Hello

I think display states can also answer this question:

Their colors: Create a configuration related to the display state. You can then choose the desired configuration (and therefore the colors) with a single file in an MEP.

On the other hand "their options" I didn't understand?

Have a nice day.
