Mechanically welded element - "The selected object is not a part of the library function"

Hello

As of today, Solidworks 2015 SP5 Premium (License from my company) refuses to apply a profile on a sketch.

An error message appears immediately:

"The selected object is not a library function part"

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Thanks in advance

Hello

Did it work well before? If so,  have you tried to repair the software?

Open your profile, right-click on the profile sketch and then "add to library"

The file must be in .sldlfp format

maybe it's that this library is not the one directly related to SW

therefore not recognized

Hello

Thank you for your quick response.

I admit that these last 2 weeks, I've been quite spoiled in bug diver and varied. Untimely restarts that make me lose everything I do, sometimes even corrupt the auto save file... In short, I'm tearing my hair out.

@ac cobra 427: the software recovery didn't work but indeed it worked well before. I don't see what I've changed in the meantime

@max59: Unable to open any of my files in . SLDLFP but as I said above, it worked very well, it's actually the 1st thing I put in place when I arrived in the company. When I want to open it impossible, and when I drag it onto the window of a new room (without a sketch or with a sketch, open or closed)  I get the library message and then I have "Couldn't open this palette file ."

@Gt22: he was recognized just a few days ago

@ac cobra 427: this is the procedure I performed.

@Max59: This is one of the profiles

o1500.sldlfp

I tested the profile and no problems, so the problem comes from elsewhere...

Can you try to temporarily delete your "weldment" library in shortcuts on the right side?

Then do the test again, the message comes from this library it seems to me...

@max59: No change, with or without, it doesn't work. I even tried to make a copy (without suppressing the origin) elsewhere too but nothing to do

Hello

Have you checked if the path of your welded construction profiles is good in your SW options:

System Options / File Locations / Welded Construction Profiles

Kind regards

@d.roger: I deleted the line just in case, closed SDWK, opened SDWK, added the line, restarted SDWK and after testing, still the same.

Try resetting your settings in the Windows registry:

Rename the solidworks folder located in hkey curent user software then restart solidworks and do the test, keep us informed

Well RIP to my Solidworks 2015!

Impossible to do anything, it crashes at the slightest opening of a room now! He must not  have appreciated something... But what? The mystery will remain unsolved.

Thank you for your help. Maintenance direction to delete everything and we start again

(PS: for your information, the library, the drawing templates and the appearances are saved so it relieves me on that side !)
