Removed material according to predefined shape

Good evening

I'm looking for tutorials for the function removed from the material according to a predefined shape

I got a bookcase to make flutes and you have a simple trick but I don't know where to place it and how to use it.

It may be ^due to insomnia, but I don't really understand your question.

What function do you want to use??

Embossing? Footprint? Function library??

Hi Gerald,

I think it's the smart lib feat part functions you're looking for (.sldfp)!

Here is a link that explains how to create them, save them in a library and use them on a piece!

And a link to a question asked the other day:

Good luck!

Had you seen these tutorials?

http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/formations/fonction-bibliotheque-dans-solidworks.html

http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/formations/bibliotheque-de-conception-fonction-avec-configuration.html

Edit 07:38

Have you placed your sldlfp in one of the folders specified in the File Locations/Design Library? (see image)

When you have your functions visible in your design library (right pane) you can take the desired function and drag it onto your 3D (example a keyway, you take it and drag it on your tree)

Hi @ Gerald

See these tutorials

 http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/famille-de-pieces-solidworks

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/bibliotheque-de-conception-fonction-avec-configuration

I think the best is to create it

x Sketch Library (Profile)

X custom function library with x folder

Hello Sepm

Would you be able to share this library with us?

See a little bit of what's in it, and what we can do with it?

Thanks in advance!

It's the altitech library and what interests me is the .sldlfp function library for flutes, gears

I got the profiles for the mechanics weld it's good but it's not the location that causes me problems it's the use.

So as mentioned above:

"When you have your functions visible in your design library (right pane) you will be able to take the desired function and drag it onto your 3D (example a keyway, you take it and drag it onto your tree)"

It's a bit of a subtlety: you don't have to "open" the sldlfp, just drag it into a sldprt.

Hello

Be careful, check that the recovered function libraries have not been made with a SW Education version, otherwise you will "pollute" your projects!

Otherwise everything has been said in the previous posts.

Kind regards

@ Gerald

With the tutorials I made available to you you still have problems with use?

Be careful the Altitech library is not fully functional

which of + more is I think if I'm not mistaken that she is in student

so the design bass is the

but you have to go through all the families of parts and make the bibliography

see the problem here http://forum.solidagora.com/bibliotheques.html

@jmsavoyat? What does this education license thing do?

Why pollute my projects?

@gt22, maybe it's that I'm in good spirits and that I don't understand everything today

Using files from an education version in a project means that at the time of printing you will have a watergram across your drawing. This watermark cannot be removed and the files used cannot be converted. All it takes is a component or file used in a part or assembly to have the problem. It's quite annoying! :-(
