First of all, thank you for your attention to my message; Indeed, I am learning how to use SolidWorks as a student.
What I want to do is very basic but I can't make these small ribs, take away the corners of the case.
- I made a square case
- I then used the fillet to get the "round" angles
- I used the shell function to dig it out
So far so good.
No matter how much I tried to remove material possible, I can't get this result. The scan function works but I don't allow myself to have the fillet inside the ribs. I searched on all the tutorials but couldn't find it.
I know it's very basic but I'm just starting out! Thank you again to all.
The fillet function allows me to make a rounded fillet around the case, but I can't create the small "ribs" that are multiplied along the entire length
You have to create a plane at the distance of your 1st rib then make a sketch of the shape of the rib and make a removal of material. Then use the leave function to make the rounding and then the repeat function.
I created a plan that coincides with the face of my case edge and a sketch; I remove material and therefore I end up with the beginning of a rib; on the other hand I would like to be able to extend it naturally on the leave already made from the box... and also on top.
in short, with a rib in a single sketch if possible
On the other hand, now I move on to the hull, it works in the hull outwards; but I would like not to have the ribs inside, I would like the inside of the case to be without the detail of the ribs
