Removing material to create ribs

Hi all

First of all, thank you for your attention to my message; Indeed, I am learning how to use SolidWorks as a student.

What I want to do is very basic but I can't make these small ribs, take away the corners of the case.

- I made a square case

- I then used the fillet to get the "round" angles

- I used the shell function to dig it out

So far so good.

No matter how much I tried to remove material possible, I can't get this result. The scan function works but I don't allow myself to have the fillet inside the ribs. I searched on all the tutorials but couldn't find it.

I know it's very basic but I'm just starting out! Thank you again to all.

The Time Off feature should do that without a problem, right?

The fillet function allows me to make a rounded fillet around the case, but I can't create the small "ribs" that are multiplied along the entire length

Hello

You have to create a plane at the distance of your 1st rib then make a sketch of the shape of the rib and make a removal of material. Then use the leave function to make the rounding and then the repeat function.

See this

to create these ribs via my 2012

I made an offbeat plan

Outline of trajectory

Sketch Profile

Material removal via scanning

2 other removal of material at each end of this rib for the arondi

Create Leave

and surface repitition

That's all there you go

There may be simpler or more complicated but here it works very well for me

the rest in the attached file under SW 2012

have a nice day @+

Thank you, here is my full case, I haven't yet applied the case function to dig it out

I created a plan that coincides with the face of my case edge and a sketch; I remove material and therefore I end up with the beginning of a rib; on the other hand I would like to be able to extend it naturally on the leave already made from the box... and also on top.

in short, with a rib in a single sketch if possible

Here is the part in Sw 2016 if you manage to open it

Thank you very much! It's really nice. I succeeded!

On the other hand, now I move on to the hull, it works in the hull outwards; but I would like not to have the ribs inside, I would like the inside of the case to be without the detail of the ribs

It is then necessary to do the hull function before the ribs...
