Removal of "curved" material on a cylinder

Hello everyone, Let me introduce myself, Oualid 29 years old, technician

I have to make a kind of champagne seal, and on this cylinder I have to remove material in the shape of the escutcheon of the champagne bottle. I made the cylinder, but I can't do this removal of material that must fit the shape of the cylinder. NO Crossing on the other hand. SOLIDWORKS 2018 - THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP:) Photo attached

Hello

Removal of coiled material with coiled function.

Insert ==> Functions ==> Winding

Then you can choose bump or recess as you wish, in this case choose "Embossing". Look at the attachment, it's a hyperfast-tutorial ;-)

Kind regards

Hi @ Zozo

We don't see your image

if its cylinder is smooth it goes via winding

but if he is like the bottle as I conceive him which should be the case given the lines on his image

it will have to pass through a sketch projected on the surface

Hello @gt22   ;-)

You're right but as I didn't have more precise information on the height and hollows of the cables, I did the minimum answer.

Kind regards

PS: otherwise easier to not do it c.. r

we make an elevation of through matter

and we rebuild a revolution of the right thickness yes ;-)

Thank you guys you guys are on top!! I'm going to test it;)

The solution of the through-hole and then revolution is clever!

Why make it complicated

when you can make it simple

The goal is to create a piece

no matter the path

How do I go to "solved" please?

@ oualid.belanaya_2

by choosing the best answer

I don't understand why the best answer was changed??????????????

if you manage to make your piece via a winding

I want to see how you do it, I don't know how to do it
