Smoothed material removal in an assembly

Hi all

I have gathered several parts in an assembly and I would like to make a smooth removal of material between 2 sketches (simple rectangles of different dimensions). The problem is that this function is apparently not available when working in an assembly. I am attaching a screenshot. Is there a solution?

Hello

It's quite possible, you just have to make your sketch from a plan and put the right criteria in "material removal"

I think you read a bit quickly. Zen586 wants to do a smoothed material removal and not a simple one.

Possible to do this in an ASM with:

Extruded material removal + Draft

 

(but the rectangle at the end may not be precise... and the angle will be the same on all sides...)

It works with material removal-sweeping but you should not use tabs.

On the other hand, you shouldn't have a profile that is too complicated.

Edit   @Philippe indeed and curiously the function is not accessible while scan is. Strange especially since it is normally possible to transfer the removal to the parts with the scan function.
