Normal material removal in sheet metal

Hello

I work in boilermaking and design pressure vessels. The shell shells of the tanks are created in sheet metal so that they can be developed and the holes can be cut by laser. Problem I can't remove "normal" material from the sheet metal in my ferrule part file. Conversely, when I do this material removal in my assembly, it is possible but it is not found in my part to be developed because the material removal function is carried out in the assembly. For now, I'm developing my ferrule, and I'm generating two DXF files (one for the inside of the ferrule and one for the outside) that I'm superimposing on top of each other in my laser control software (RADAN) and I'm removing the contours that are furthest inside the cut. it's a long job that is not very profitable and it's not what you expect from a 3D software. I imagine that there is a solution to this... Can someone help me please???  I have attached the file of my ferrule for more details

Thank you in advance!!

Sebastian

Hello

Normally, it is sufficient to tick the option "Normal material removal" in the function. (see image)

Your part modified to SW15. I just had to change the depth of the 2nd material removal to "To the next surface" rather than blind.

There are two ways of looking at it:

- Either you make your sketches of cuts in the rolled sheet metal and the answer benoit applies.

- Either you make your cutting sketches in the plane of the flat sheet and there you can see the answer I was given here: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/2d/transformer-un-volume-en-tolerie
