Material removal by revolution

  Hello everyone, is it possible to do a normal material removal with the "material removal by revolution" function? Or is there another solution?

Do you want to remove material from the round iron but not do it in a circular way? I'm in 2016, can you share your file?

I didn't understand the PB or the question: what about "a normal material removal""  do @thib want to do like embossed sheet metal

Ditto I didn't really understand the question hence my question "You want to do the removal of material on the round iron but that it is not done circular"; because as I understand he would like to do a removal of material on the round iron but in a "removal of extruded material" way.

It is a tube that I made in sheet metal in order to be able to develop it later except that to develop it, I need the material removal to be "normal" at the thickness.

Conventionally; I couldn't find any solution. We have to go through a fold-and-fold process to get there in 2016. Maybe on a more recent version it will work better. In any case, here is the file with the manipulation to achieve it.
