Material removal from one part compared to another

Hello

Sorry in advance was no longer at work at the time of writing this post, I don't have an example file to assemble.

I hope I'm clear enough in writing then;)

Here I am working on a mold to put beauty products on it afterwards. So I have my part that I'm working on, the mold and my product.

I would like to remove material from the mold with the perfect shape of my product. Is there a function to calculate the contour of my product and offset it on my mold by removing material with the exact contours?

I would have liked to make better use of it with screenshots but the work is very hurried and I finished my day

Thanks in advance

Hello

I'm thinking of the combined / subtract function between 2 volumes. (it's done at the part level, not at the assembly level though)

You can save your assembly as a part and subtract the 2 volumes but you lose the tree structure, so you have to do it last.

Hello multigaming.simulation

I often work on applications for perfumes.

I have one piece for my laying and another for the part that is mounted in the laying

  1. In the posage file, I insert the part that fits in it.
  2. I constrain the room
  3. Stamped function

See attached files

  • Here is a tutorial I had made
  •
  • - Go to Insert --> Room

- Position the part with the activate unpacer / copy function

Go to constraint

Constrain your parts

- Stamping function

- Delete the body required

Hello

There is the fingerprint function that perfectly matches your needs (YouTube video) or (YouTube video).

@ac cobra 427 is indeed exactly what I need I think!

Thank you very much, small subtlety, any of you would be if with this function it is possible to define a game around my imprint? If I want to have a 1mm clearance around the entire circumference of the product for example?

Good night

Hello

In the stamped function you can add an offset in the parameter tab
