Material removal in an assembly

Hello

In a pipe assembly (without a rooting module), I want to cut a tee, but I can't. I could recut your tee by modifying my part, but it will no longer be standard, and I would like to avoid copying the modified part locally.

When I create the Material Removal feature in my assembly, it doesn't apply it to the tee. I attach the assembly in PJ

Your T is not a body but a surface.

There is no inner leave to be able to create a body.

Then you propagate your material removal to the parts and it should work.

Go back to your function of removing material.

In the "function action area" section, uncheck "automatic selection" and click on your tee, directly in your drawing space. (see attached doc).

Good luck.

Quick question: why don't you make your modification directly on your part? by editing the part (in the assembly if you want)?

Should this material removal function then be applied to other parts?

Hello

I have a similar problem, I can't remove material via the assembly functions in a surface. SLD can't do or can?

In the attached image, (which is only an example, don't look for the reason for this hole) the 2 brown pieces (brush brooms) are made of faces and the hole is made by removing material through all the components.

What do you think?
