It all depends on what you want to convey.
A method (bullies) consists of creating a Pack and go of your assembly in a single directory (Temporary).
Delete files that you don't want to transmit directly to Windows Explorer.
Open your assembly and save it in parts: Only external surfaces.
Then convert this assembly to Parasolid (*X_t).
Then save this Parasolid as a Step.
As a result, your customer will only have an outer envelope of your assembly (in surface) without having the Names of your parts in your Construction Tree.
