Save assortment with suffix

How to open all parts of an assembly at once to save them as with a suffix

Hello

You have to register under the assembly to be able to put a common suffix to all the parts

Hello

You must use the composition to take away:

http://help.solidworks.com/2012/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_COPY_DESIGN.htm

Which allows you to choose a suffix:

  • "Add Prefix or Add Suffix. Allows you to add the specified prefix or suffix to all file names."

To complete :

From the highest level assembly:

  • Choose FILES
  • then COMPOSITION TO TAKE AWAY

  • Check SUFFIX
  • Consider changing the destination directory
  • Apply

If you have the mycadtools there is an alternative to the composition to take away: PROJECTMANAGER,

It's in the same principle but more complete.

Hello

Thank you, I know the composition to take away but it's in a rather specific case.

I import an assembly file with parts.

I'll save under the assembly and check include all reference components - Add suffix. But SW gives me an error message.

I am obliged to open all the rooms for this operation be OK.

If there are two parts in the assembly to open it's OK but if there are several parts it's a hassle I have to open them one by one.

I would like to open them all at the same time.

I'm going to try this layer with composition to take away in this situation.

Thank you in advance.
