Hello since the switch to the Solidworks 2023 SP4 version, every time I close a plan or assembly, I am asked to save the modified documents even if no changes have been made. The window opens with the message "The following documents have been modified) when it has not.
Hello From memory this message has always existed, SW considers that a simple rebuild or a change of conf generates a modification hence the request for registration. It does not seem to me that we can delete this message. The only way would be to "block" the files by setting the block bar on the part files and to set the behavior in case of canceling a modification of a part in an assembly so that it does not impact it. In theory, he should no longer convey the message. So I don't think it's specific to the 2023 (I'm still on the 2022 SP5)
For the record, after several tries, the message only appears if you open the ASM in light. In resolved mode, SolidWorks no longer prompts to save. ???
I think it must have rebuilt a part and so in light it loaded this file and considered it to be a modification (just click on it for it to load it if my memory is correct)
I agree, I think that's why they added the block bar. But for SW, even if we have added the registration to the trademark for configurations, the simple fact of changing the configuration on a screws file for example makes him think that there has been a modification on the file (potentially related to the reconstruction of the functions to display the configuration). For us, visually, no change, but for the software, it interprets it as a modification (you can usually see it by the asterisk that is positioned behind the filename). The operation is a bit random and with a trunk you can see it perfectly. For example, I archive a completely rebuilt model, so it is read-only and from time to time when you open it, it asks for a record when absolutely nothing has changed. The only difference is that I can set it to never ask me to save read-only files. I would say that it's a bit part of the strange way SW works.
