To create an image of my CAD, I typically use Tools --> Capture.
Then, I save my image in .png format.
On the other hand, I find that the quality of my image is very average.
Gold 1) In the Pixel tab of the capture options, the "Render Quality" choice is high. 2) In the CATIA options (Tools --> Options), in terms of the display, I put the finest precision, namely 0.01.
How can I get a high-quality CAD image with CATIA?
I don't have any of these modules but what I can say:
Photo studio is to make realistic photo renderings (very beautiful images close to reality but frozen)
Real time rendring: the rendering is recalculated when manipulating the 3D.
The success of a rendering lies in the realistic representation of the materials applied in CATIA, lighting effects (a job in itself).
By default in CATIA there are very few materials and the rendering is quite poor I don't know if with these 2 modules the choice is more extensive?
Without trying to make high quality, we have already encountered PBs with CATIA's image capture utility. In R22 and V5-6R2014 these PBs were corrected. If the image you get is of lower quality than a simple screenshot pasted in Paint, there is a chance that your release of Catia has this type of PB
"Photo studio is to make realistic photo renderings (very beautiful images close to reality but frozen)" Franck
"> there is a little point which I do not understand here. What do you mean by "frozen"? For me, a photo is an image at a given moment and therefore necessarily "frozen".

--> Your hypothesis seems good because I have the r21. So it could be possible. Moreover, indeed, I am not looking for a very high quality image at 20 MB but simply a decent image at 2-3 MB. However, the result obtained is still far from the correct for me. I still have big pixels that spoil the 3D effect of a CATIA part.
In addition, an element that can be indicative of the quality is that the image weighs 35 KB so not much. Getting a 1 MB image would have been more relevant for an image with good quality.
Otherwise, I saved my image in high quality jpeg.
I tried to set the resolution to the max by making the following setting in the snipping tool:
Photorealistic renderings under CATIA are a real pain to set up and it lags a lot as long as you have a bit of a heavy set, when I want a beautiful image I use Keyshot.
Simple and very powerful, compatible with CATIA for updates as your work progresses.
No image format limit, I've already released a rendering like 10000/15000 pixels, a 120 MB image!
